Terms of service
AIsistants, Inc. Last updated: September 2026.
These terms are a contract between you (the client) and AIsistants, Inc., a US company ("AIsistants", "we", "us"). By signing up or using the service, you agree to them. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
We wrote these terms in plain English on purpose. Plain English does not make them less binding.
1. What you get
Your plan includes:
- A dedicated human assistant. One full-time executive assistant (an "AIsistant") based in the Philippines. They work about 40 hours a week during your US business hours. They work only for you while assigned to you. They are employed by AIsistants, Inc., or by our Philippine employer-of-record entity, and not by you.
- Your own AI agent. A private AI agent, built on Claude models from Anthropic, set up for your business. With your permission, it connects to your email, calendar, and other tools you choose. It works with your human assistant, and they check its work.
- One group chat. You, your assistant, and the AI in one chat on iMessage, Telegram, SMS, or Signal. Your choice.
- A US phone number. A phone number for calls and texts, provided through Twilio. The number belongs to AIsistants. You can use it while you are a client. See Section 13 for what happens to it when you leave.
We may change the AI model or the tools behind the service as long as the service you get stays about the same.
2. Price and billing
- The price is shown on our website. It is one flat monthly fee.
- We bill in advance, each month, on the day you started.
- Your plan is month to month. There is no long-term contract.
- Fees cover the service for that month. We do not refund a month that has started, except where the law requires it.
- The fee does not include costs you approve for the assistant to spend on your behalf (for example, a paid tool or a purchase). We will not spend your money without your OK.
- If a payment fails, we will tell you. If it is not fixed in 10 days, we may pause or end the service.
- We may change the price. We will give you at least 30 days notice by email before a new price applies.
3. Canceling
You can cancel at any time. Email us or tell us in your group chat. Your service runs to the end of the month you already paid for, then stops. No cancellation fee. No hoops.
4. How we match you with an assistant
- We choose the assistant for you. We match on your business, your hours, and the skills you need. You do not interview candidates.
- If it is not a fit, tell us. We will assign a new assistant. We aim to do this within 10 business days.
- If your assistant is sick, on leave, or leaves us, we will cover you with a backup and, if needed, assign a new dedicated assistant. We do not charge extra for this.
- We may also replace an assistant on our own, for example if they leave the company. We will tell you when this happens.
5. What you agree to do
- Give lawful instructions. Do not ask your assistant or the AI to break the law, harass anyone, or harm anyone.
- Do not ask them for work that needs a professional license. This includes legal advice, medical advice, tax or investment advice, engineering sign-off, or anything else that a licensed person must do. They can help you schedule the lawyer or gather the paperwork. They cannot be the lawyer.
- Keep your own accounts safe. Use strong passwords and two-factor login where you can. Tell us right away if you think an account was misused.
- Only connect accounts and data you have the right to share with us.
- Tell us what the assistant and the AI may and may not do with your money, your customers, and your accounts. We will follow the limits you set.
- Treat your assistant with respect. We stand behind our people. We may end service for abuse.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- Send spam, robocalls, or messages that break the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, or similar laws.
- Collect or use other people's personal data in a way you are not allowed to.
- Scrape, attack, or overload our systems or anyone else's.
- Resell the service or act as a middleman for a third party without our written OK.
- Use the AI to make content that is illegal, deceptive, or hateful.
- Break the terms of any tool you connect (for example, Google's or Apple's terms).
- Break Anthropic's usage policy for the AI.
If you break these rules we may pause or end your service.
7. Mistakes happen. Here is who is responsible.
Your assistant is a person. The AI is software. Both can make mistakes. You should review important outputs before you rely on them. This includes emails sent in your name, appointments, quotes, and anything involving money.
- Actions on your behalf. When your assistant or the AI acts on your instructions (sends an email, books a job, pays a vendor you approved), that action is yours. You are responsible for the result as if you did it yourself.
- Our cap. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim came up.
- No indirect damages. We are not liable for lost profits, lost customers, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages, even if we were told they could happen.
- As is. The service is provided "as is." We do not promise it will be error-free or always available. We do not make any warranty that is not written in these terms.
- Some states do not allow some of these limits. In those states, our liability is limited as much as the law allows.
We do stand behind our work. If something goes wrong, tell us. We will work with you to fix it.
8. About the AI
- The AI is built on models from Anthropic (Claude). We do not build or train the base model.
- The AI can be wrong. It can misread an email, get a date wrong, or state something as fact that is not. Your human assistant reviews its work, but you should too for anything important.
- The AI does not give legal, medical, tax, or financial advice. Do not treat anything it says as advice from a licensed professional.
- We set limits on what the AI can do on its own. By default it cannot move money, sign documents, or delete data without a human approving. You can tighten these limits. You cannot ask us to loosen them past our safety rules.
- Your data is sent to Anthropic to run the AI. Anthropic does not train its models on it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Confidentiality
We keep your business information confidential. That includes your customers, your finances, your plans, and anything in your connected accounts.
- Every assistant signs a confidentiality agreement before they touch client data.
- We only use your information to provide the service.
- We may share it with the vendors we need to run the service (listed in our Privacy Policy), or when the law requires.
- This duty lasts after you cancel.
You agree to keep confidential anything about our business that is not public, such as our internal processes and pricing terms that are not on our website.
10. Who owns the work
- You own the work product. Anything your assistant or the AI creates for you (emails, documents, spreadsheets, schedules, summaries) belongs to you once you have paid for that month. We assign any rights we have in it to you.
- We own our systems. Our software, prompts, playbooks, training material, and the way we run the service stay ours. You get a license to use them only as part of the service.
- Your data stays yours. Connecting an account does not give us ownership of anything in it.
- Feedback. If you give us ideas to improve the service, we can use them without owing you anything.
11. Do not hire our people directly
We invest a lot in finding, vetting, and training each assistant. During your service and for 12 months after it ends, you agree not to:
- Hire, contract with, or pay any AIsistants assistant directly, or through another company, without our written OK.
- Ask an assistant to work for you outside the service.
If you do, you agree to pay us a placement fee equal to 12 months of the plan price as a fair estimate of our loss, not as a penalty.
If you want to hire your assistant outright, ask us. We may agree to a buyout.
12. Ending the service
- You can cancel at any time (Section 3).
- We can end your service with 30 days notice for any reason, or right away if you break these terms, do not pay, or abuse an assistant.
- When service ends, we disconnect all connected accounts, remove access from the assistant and the AI, and delete your data on the schedule in our Privacy Policy. You can ask for a copy of your work product first.
- Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, and anything else that by its nature should last, survive termination.
13. Your phone number
The Twilio number belongs to AIsistants. When you leave, we can help you port the number to your own carrier if you ask within 30 days and the carrier allows it. After that we may release or reuse it.
14. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
- Before either side sues, we agree to talk. Send a written notice and give the other side 30 days to fix the problem.
- Any dispute that is not resolved will be handled in the state or federal courts in New Castle County, Delaware, and both sides agree to that venue.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, cancel before the date and you will not be bound by the change.
16. The rest
- Whole agreement. These terms, our Privacy Policy, and your order form are the full agreement between us.
- Not employment. Your assistant is our employee, not yours. You are not their employer and you do not owe them wages or benefits.
- Assignment. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent. We may transfer it if we sell the business, and we will tell you.
- Severability. If a court strikes one part, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term once, we can still enforce it later.
- Notices. We send notices to the email on your account. You send notices to hello@aisistants.com.
- Force majeure. Neither side is responsible for delays caused by things outside their control, such as natural disasters, internet outages, or government action. We will still do our best to keep you covered.
